By an avoidable set of circumstances which are too trivial to mention here, i was brought to the notice that i had started a blog more than 2 years ago and that it has been lying stagnant since then. So typically lazy me. It was amusing reading my first two posts. They seem to be from a different age! I was preparing for my BSc. Physiology exam then. Since the blog entry, i have managed to graduate,albeit with terrible grades, somehow got admitted in the MSc. Genetics course conducted by the respected University of Calcutta..trudged through the semesters and here i am,sitting in a cosy room in a girls' hostel of the prestigious Indian Institute of Science,Bangalore, apparently to pursue a PhD. in Neuroscience. So far so good. I really wanted to experience campus & hostel life...and it has been pleasant so far...nice single room, mess food is much better than just edible quality and the campus is enveloped by lush greenery. Everything is fine exept academics..which never would be with me, An average student who somehow managed to clear interviews, i am surrounded and dwarfed by brilliant students all around me. Aah well. I will just be a nonchalant spectator to the intellectual duels and the rat races. I am fine being a dumb sloth in this entire melee cocooned in it's own indolent space & hopefully will manage not to get chucked out. ....Why am i writing this entry now? I have the dreaded linear algebra test and am simply not feeling any inclination to study...penning down thoughts is so much better.....the time of dusk is nearby and the birdcalls are filling up the sky....it is a lovely time to be walking around the campus...how i love escaping into the woods and just aimlessly drifting about! OK something inside tells me this post started on a decent note but now has degraded into an aimless soporific flow of words. Time to stop.
