Faltering

They say no glory touches the fall
Yet falling is such a beautiful thing
Beauty hides in decline
To be defeated such that
Things once puny appear worthy
The discarded become invaluable
To perceive the treasures disregarded
Such grave lessons a mighty teacher does need
Who better than a purgatory of sad, sorrowful sinking?
